Bioplan is the brainchild of Swedish multi-instrumentalist and particle physicist-turned metal master Andi Kravljaca. A one-man instrumental progressive metal undertaking, Bioplan represents the distillation of Kravljaca’s musical essence and experience, into a showcase full of atmosphere and melody.

‘Ocular’, the first EP release by Bioplan, mixes the tonality and soundscapes of 1980s synthwave, with the brutality and gated precision of modern seven string guitar, all serving the soaring melodies layered on top by the stellar playing of Kravljaca. It defiantly sets out to answer the question ”What would the 1980s have sounded like in drop G#?’.

Most known for his work as lead vocalist for bands such as Seventh Wonder, Thaurorod, Aeon Zen, Nergard and Silent Call, Andi Kravljaca got his start as a YouTube guitar sensation. He boasts a discography spanning 15 full length albums and 13 years. Now, this songwriting experience has been condensed into five tracks of punchy, modern, instrumental progressive metal showcasing Kravljaca’s mastery of guitar and keyboard.

In addition, ‘Ocular’ features guest performances by the likes of Andreas Söderin (Seventh Wonder), Rich Hinks (Annihilator), Emil Pohjalainen (Amberian Dawn), Alistair Bell (Aeon Zen) and Pekka Laitinen (Nibiru Ordeal).

‘Ocular’ melds the synthetic and the organic, analog and digital, manufactured and natural, through rhythm and melody, to tell the story of mankind’s place in the natural cycle, and of the delicate balance between progress and exploitation. Featuring eye-catching artwork by Daniel Ignacio, ‘Ocular’ is set to launch Bioplan into the public eye.
